I began making jewelry in 2006 for myself, to take the pressure off of my husband on holidays. ;) After I made a few pieces I began to get compliments, so I purchased a few tools, more than a few(thousand?) beads, and now I have more tools, wire and beads than I know what to do with. I try to keep things as green as possible, re-using shipping boxes and materials when I can. I also use recycled sterling silver, gold and copper whenever possible, and my chocolate colored gift boxes are 100% recycled, as is the stuffing inside. In our home I recycyle everything I can get my hands on. 5% OF OUR PROFITS DONATED CHARITY Beginning the 4th quarter of 2010, 5% of my sales are now being donated to charity - our current charity is the Nancy Hollywood Community Garden & Wellness Center, an organization that is very close to my heart. It's a rapidly growing(get it??) community garden, named after my mother, which raises food for the local food bank here in Chester County, PA, USA.
